A nice place to visit, and doesn't take very much time. Beautiful and peaceful. I bit challenging to find, but if you go to the Visitors Center, they'll give you directions.
Beautiful and serene botanic park in Steamboat Springs, CO. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit and took many photos. It's thoughtfully laid out with various low levels, water features, sculptures, and various types of gardens. Many things were tagged with name/species. We went in late afternoon. A tree-lined path along the gorgeous soccer field with mountains in the background takes you to the entrance. There is another entrance off a paved bike path along one side of the park as well. Many lovely flowers, some native, as Colorado boasts wildflowers at every elevation. Benches throughout and little alcoves good for a little quiet time. Free. It's like an oasis in the middle of everything else, just outside of downtown a short ways.
If you are in Steamboat Springs this is worth an hour or two of your time. There is a diverse display of plants and shrubs which will excite any gardener. You can also exit to the river and take an extended stroll beyond the park. See more pics here; waynelr.smugmug.com/Travel/Colorado/Steamboat-2014/

This Botanic Park has water fountains, public restrooms, running water features, a pond with lotus lilies, sculptures, morning Yoga on the green offered a few times a week during the summer for a donation and so much more....too much to mention....so best just check out for yourself. No bicycles or dogs allowed in park tho. Enjoy!!!
This beautiful garden is well maintained, lots of different flowers and trees. Easy to walk around and enjoy the privacy. They also have special music events in the summer as well as classes for yoga and meditation. No bikes are allowed inside. But you have bike stations at both entrances. Very wide paths paved in crushed rock.
The Yampa River Botanic Park is a gem just off the core trail. It is an oasis of flowers and vegetation that is lush and growing as they are continually adding new sections to it. It is a very pleasant attraction so add it to your list!
A pond, trees and flowers arranged along winding paths. Labels and more labels identifying the trees and flowers. Benches populate the area to provide resting spots. And the best restrooms I have ever experienced in an outdoor site.P.S. Compost area
This hidden treasure was nearby our Legacy Vacation Resorts-Hilltop location. Very nice level walking tour of many native Colorado plants, shrubs and trees in a restful setting. Don't miss it!
A bike ride led us to the Botanical garden. Blooms and butterflies were abundant, with secret winding paths to explore. Perfect for a quick stroll, or one when more time is available. Enjoyed the signs which taught the names of the plants. Lovely place to sit and chat if time allows.
This is a beautiful park with many different plants. Great place for picnics with lunch time concerts and outdoor theatre.
