You can have the Pinehurst No. 2 experience and conditions at a fraction of the cost. Well maintained Donald Ross creation, former site of the PGA Tour, excellent hotel accommodations and food, and the entire facility oozes history. Play here and the sister course, Pine Needles, directly across the street for a top=flight golf experience.
This was a destination wedding. Many came from around the USA. It was our daughters wedding. The atmosphere was beautiful. Food was more than great. Everyone had a wonderful time. A few of the guests played a round of golf at Pine-Needles. I heard they had a great time! Staff was more than helpful.
We just played our hickory championship here and the golf course was great. The greens especially were smooth and very tricky. Even at a sort distance, there were few good scores to be had. Not sure about the value as both this course and its neighbor, Pine Needles across the street were charging a high rate to play. If you can get on for a reasonable rate, it is a real blast from the past.
Wish we could have stayed here, will have to go back! What an amazing historic and friendly place! Very elegant clubhouse old world!
This is my favorite course in Pinehurst. Classic clubhouse and fabulous golf course. Totally redone last year. You can play Pinrhurst No. 2 but for the money this is a better course.
Stunning Donald Ross course, impeccably maintained. Greens are incredible fast with lots of break. Every hole provided a new visually intriguing design and new challenges! We've played many of the courses in the area and Mid-Pines is our new favorite
Mid Pines is a treasure that has it all. Great golf coarse, old world charming accomodations and excellent food-especially the Sunday Champagne brunch. It is also a great venue for parties or receptions. Close to area interests. Alot of history. Relaxing invironment. You have to try it and see.
We played Mid Pines and found the course to be in very good condition. The greens rolled well and we had a great day.The staff was all helpful and very friendly. We were paired with some nice gentlemen and they helped make it a fun day. This was a good value and we will go back
If you liked the look of Pinehurst #2 during both US Opens you will live Mid Pines, it is Donald Ross without the $400+ price tag of #2. The folks at the golf course are great to deal with and the course was truly amazing. In the top half of the six we played which included two Pinehurst resort courses. Don't miss out on this one if you're going to the Pinehurst area for golf.
Nice course. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fairways need some additional work. pretty, but doesn't compare to Pine Needles
