The wines are great! The service is usually good and helpful. The prices are a bit high for the area, but the winery is beautiful and wines are very good!
good variety of wines, more so than at liquor stores..plus you can sample. Beautiful surroundings in one of the most majestic spots in Pa
A family owned business that takes great pride in customer service. Its rapid growth is a testament to their ability to make great wines supported by great marketing. Fees charged for special events but always worth the price. Stay 30 minutes for a tasting or all evening for an event.
While driving back from my nephews graduation from Penn State we stopped at the winery. It is in a lovely area. The people are very friendly and helpful. They have a nice deck area out back where you can sit and enjoy some of the wine you tasted. Their Afternoon Delight is a great summer wine, especially on a hot day. If you are in the area, be sure to stop by.
Enjoyed wine tasting and conversation with staff member that assisted us. Staffer was awesome shared stories about how that wine is made and his personal preferences of wine and food combinations. If you like wine make this winery a "Must DO"
Love going to this winery. Tucked away in the mountains the drive to it is beautiful. Rustic and beautiful I could hang out here all day. I really enjoyed most of the wines I tried. The Whippoorwill White and Tickled Pink were my favorites. Went with a friend but will be dragging my husband back soon.
My wife and I are not big wine drinkers, but Seven Mountains is a winery we visit frequently. It's only a few miles from our cabin in Centre County and we often stop for a couple of bottles when we are at the cabin. The wines, many of them award winners, have always been excellent. And the winery itself is worth the trip, even without the wine. A beautiful facility in a beautiful location in Decker Valley in Bald Eagle State Forest. And there is seating inside and an outside deck if you prefer to drink some of your wine on site.Recommend a scenic drive through the central Pennsylvania Mountains with a stop at beautiful Seven Mountains Winery.
My wife and I were able to taste 7 diff wines a piece for free and of the wines we tasted there weren't any we didn't like. The inside is very pretty and plenty of outside seating to relax. The only negative is there is no view. It is right next a private home.
Stopped in for Nouveau Weekend and free tasting, what a beautiful setting for a winery. The lodge is very large and includes a banquet room in addition to a large patio out back. Great selection of reds and whites, dry to sweet. Cabernet Franc and Traminette were two of my favorites.
I absolutely love Seven Mountains Wine Cellars. My husband and I have been going there since they first got started a few years ago (and when you go, ask them how they did get started- it's a great story). The location is beautiful, as is the winery itself. Inside, you can enjoy your wine tasting in a lovely wood-beamed room; if it's nice weather, pack a picnic or purchase some light fare, purchase a glass or a bottle, and enjoy a seat on their wonderful deck or in the backyard area. There are tables inside as well. We love to go here, and it's also a lovely place to bring guests. They have a fantastic wine selection - including several excellent dry reds, which not every winery in this region produces. They also have dry to sweet whites and several fruit wines. Something for every palette. We love their wine so much that we served it at our wedding, and we love the space so much that we had our rehearsal dinner there (in addition to the tasting room, they have a very nice banquet room). Highly, highly recommend this winery to locals and visitors.
