It has beautiful grounds, the landscaping is meticulous, manicured thoughtful, mindful. Lovely , prayerful
The wood carving of the last supper was very interesting and the grounds and statues were beautiful. The large statue of Jesus and Mary were something you should see. You will enjoy walking around these grounds.
Visited on a Friday afternoon. We were able to see the various shrine's and statues, thanks to the helpful volunteers we were able to borrow a wheel chair. Well kept gardens and a great gift shop. We picked up a couple St. Christopher medals for our kids. We were able to go to the chapel during which Eucharistic adoration was happening and were able to participate in the public recitation of the Rosary. A couple hours that helped me to recharge and reconnect with the things that are important in life.
"Come away by yourselves to a secluded place and rest a while." Mark 6:31. Free, family friendly, large groups, even a great place to visit solo. Wheel chairs available for check out free during center hours. Beautiful landscaping, great photo opportunities, plenty of paved walking. I took my nephews here and they loved walking around outside and wanted to see everything, plus visit the gift shop. Hand carved by local, Jerry Traufler, the life sized Last Supper inside the St Joseph Center is magnificent to see. One of only 4 in the world! Peaceful chapel inside the St Joseph Center with a beautiful first class relic of St Faustina. Daily prayer in chapel as well as a petition book where you can list any prayers needed. Trinity Heights is a little piece of heaven and if you live anywhere near Sioux City, it is a must. People from all over the world have signed in as visitors. I go there about once a week and always meet interesting travelers.
A wonderful and tranquil time to walk, pray, relax and enjoy the outdoors and indoors. A one of a kind experience, that even if you are not religious, you will appreciate.
This is a well designed green space with spectacular statues. Regardless of your religious affiliation, you've got to be impressed with the 50 foot high metal statue of the Virgin Mary! It's a wonderful, peaceful place to stroll around on a warm, sunny day.
Nice place to go pray and meditate. Take time to walk around and take it all in. You feel a lot of love in the place.
Lovely spot for a walk through the gardens, great place to stop and stretch your legs. The statues are all lovely; the only one that was less than impressive was the grotto-- the visible pumps and electrical wires took away from the experience (that, and the fact that one had to purchase candles in the gift shop --which was closed-- if one wanted to light a candle for a loved one...) Nice place, though, whether you're Catholic or not.
Statues and sky on a plateau above the city scape. Very beatiful. I went at sunset on a cool day and I was the only one there!
This is a must in Sioux City- open to public receives many tour buses. Grounds feature last supper carving, prayer chapel , hard to describe. Place of peace and quiet. Recommend this to all
