I have been dealing with them off and on for 20 years. There close and have lots of guns. Only once did I deal with a quality individual. Smart enough to realize some people have knowledge dealing with firearms. They don't have name tags so I can't give him credit, because I would. I always wondered if the staff are getting paid. 90 percent of them don't seem to care less if they make a sale or not. Here's some advice to wanna be gun owners. Go online, research some firearms your interested in. Take a week day off from work, less people to deal with. Go to ATP fist, you might get lucky. If you go to the counter and you don't get acknowledged after a reasonable amount of time, leave.
We have purchased 2 handguns here. The nice thing is you can actual shoot that model to see if it is the one for you.Catering trying various weapons I purchased the Beretta PX4 after my salesman helped me decide what would be best for my use. He took his time to show me various weapons and answered all my questions with skill. We searched out the same salesman for my wife. She shot 3 different handguns and settled on the NHX. She shot 9 out 10 into into the X. It too is a very nice gun.Can you find cheaper prices? Yes but their prices are fair and not overpriced. You can get the gun you want today. If you are military ask for a discount. The owner gave me 5% off. He knew I was Navy. I guess he could tell by my swagger. The ammo is a little high priced Wal-Mart and Dick,s are cheaper. Some people complained that they are a bunch of rednecks. Well you are in the South. I'm not a redneck and they made me feel very comfortable. They make buying a gun easy. They could use a greater at the door to direct you and hook hook you up with someone that specializes in your particular needs. The place is big with many guns and items to satisfy your needs.
Great selection of guns, so many there. Pleasant experience, for everyone who love guns it has my recommendation.
The ranges here are pretty good, but they get backed up fairly quickly. There's a pistol range and rifle range - $5 and $10 respectively. That's about the end of the business I give them. They are overpriced, which I don't really mind that if they have something else to offer, but the customer service is awful. I've never seen a place with 10 people behind the counter and no one acknowledges you when you're looking at a $1,000 gun. Luckily, I don't have to worry about that anymore - plenty of other gun shops in the Charleston area with lower prices, better service, and less attitude.
if they chopped off the store and expanded the range this place would be hoppin people milling about fondling firearms the staff is reluctant to help or assist in any way 2 times i went to buy a gun and both times went down to east coast down the road and ordered one there for cheaper they do stock hard to find calibers but the gun selection you can do better on price by shopping elsewere
I'll start off with this because I guess it's my fault for not researching but a $50 FFL fee for a firearm transfer is absurd. The guy behind the counter even said not to use them anymore because of the fee. They lost me as a customer from that alone. Not to mention the overpriced firearm prices. You can find better prices at any other store around. They need to realize that they are not the only gun shop in town anymore and adjust their business practices accordingly.
Have a good bit of stock but the price does not seem good. I don't understand why every time I ask for help I seem to get someone trying to be a smart axx.
ATP is an large, well stocked gun shop. Hundreds of guns on hand including used and antique guns for sale. Lots of accessories, tools, ammunition, add-ons, etc. There's always a person available to help you. They are very knowledgeable too. They have two gun ranges, one for pistols only, one for rifles. Memberships are available too. Everything you need in one place!
The classes here are very informative and they really care about giving you the proper training and awareness…all while in a very relaxed and enjoyable environment. It's a must!
This shop has very friendly and helpful, although not always knowledgeable, staff. The major detractor is their prices. They've priced themselves out of at least 15 sales I know of in the last 2 weeks. I tell my LE friends to go up the road to Carolina Arms & Ammo in Moncks Corner. They give cops a 10% discount on everything in their stote & they know guns .
