Visited with a group of friends. Our host Honey was absolutely fantastic. So knowledgable and friendly. Highly recommended!
Beautiful grounds and cellar door. Friendly staff. My only complaint is the price of the croquet. At $25 a go we thought it a bit steep.
We had an organised trip here and we all loved the history of the location. The whole area of the Barossa is just about perfect.
What to say more - amazing service, outstanding location and atmosphere, delightful food and fantastic wine!We had business dinner there and everybody loved it! I will go back for 100%
Wow, what a fantastic experience at Chateau Tanunda !! I visited the Chateau last weekend with my son and his beautiful bride to be and had the best wine tasting experience that you could ever ask for. Our host was Andrew and his depth of knowledge about the entire Tanunda range was incredible, it was more of a journey than just a tasting. Andrew lead us through a step by step explanation of how each variety came into being and what foods and moods it would best compliment. I can highly recommend Andrew and Chateau Tanunda to anyone looking to have a great wine experience, and if you like architecture and history then this stunning Chateau will tick all the boxes. I can't wait to go back with some of my Melbourne friends when they visit.
well not only is the location incredible and buildings wonderful but the tasting experience at the cellar door is one of the best - knowledgeable staff (not too pretentious regarding 'hints of this or that' great wines and reasonable prices - we take all our visitors here - great
We took the wine tour which was a little disappointing as we were not shown very in the way of how the wine was produced.
My partner and I stopped in here while on a weekend retreat in the Barossa. The building and grounds are very beautiful. After tasting the wines we had a cheese platter out overlooking the croquet area. This was very delicious and a nice afternoon was spent here.
The man who served us was fantastic, we were the only ones there at the time but he told us the whole history of the place. It is a lovely setting, A must do if your in the area.
Anytime I am heading up to the Barossa, I make sure to visit Chateau Tanunda.I recently visited the winery in December 2014. I was once again delighted by the gorgeous setting, the beautiful wine (quite a long tasting menu) and the friendly staff. I personally love the sparkling shiraz 'Nightwatch' as well as there delicious range of cab savs and shiraz. The price point for the wine is also incredibly reasonable. If you are going to the Barossa, make sure you visit this cellar door.
