A really-really old monastery, which is absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking.
Bebenhausen is our favorite German monastery, being well-preserved and medieval with a lovely setting on the edge of the Schoenbuch Forest. We revisit many times as the monastery and its setting are so enjoyable, and it is always one of our favorite places to take foreign visitors. The abbey itself is excellent. This was the last residence of the King of Wuerttemberg after he was forced to abdicate after WW-I. There is also some post-WW-II history as it served as the first seat of government for the unified lands of Wuerttemberg and Hohenzollern. A joy to visit at any time of the year!!!!!!
Well worth a visit. Winter time is great as there are not too many people about. get on the bus 828 from the Hauptbahnhof and you'll be there in 15 minutes. For a great meal , the Landhotel-Hirsch is just a short walk away. Prices may look a little steep, but the food is fantastic.
The monstary is very close to town and a most enjoyable walk. There are several routes, but the most beautiful is the one up through the forrest. The day we set out it was cold and drizzly, but descending onto the Kloister as we emergerd from the forrest was truly amazing. Wandering through the settlement at Bebenhausen, takes you back to another time. Even though we didnt try to gain entrance to the actual church, there was plenty still to see.The history of these buildings is quite significant having been home to both the state parlament and Nepolean at different times. Its an hour or so walk each way depending on where you start in Tubingen, or if you drive and park near the forrest entrance it is much shorter. Our group decided to make a bigger trip and ended up hiking for 5 hours on other tracks. This is a must see if your visiting Tubingen
этот монастырь, вместе с замком, находится в 5 км от Тюбингена, в местечке Bebenhausen, добраться легко на автобусе. Замечательное место, в замке проводятся экскурсии. И окрестности очень живописные, особенно золотой осенью.
Bebenhausen Abbey is definitely worth making a detour for. A friend from work drove me over here, and we strolled around the grounds, soaking in the history of the place. We visited too late to tour inside the buildings, but the grounds alone are very interesting. You get a real sense of the power and wealth that the church must have possessed when this monastery was in its heyday.
Yardımsever, kendilerine yeten, yiyeceklerini kendileri yetiştirip üreten, mükemmeli hedefleyen, para ve mülkiyetle ilişkisi olmayan beyaz giysili rahiplerin manastırını görmek isterseniz, Tübingen'den 6-7km uzaktaki Bebenhausen kentine uğramalaısınız.
Hiking through the Naturpark and stumbling upon Bebenhausen was one of the most magical moments as it suddenly appeared beyond the sloping hillside. This beautiful old monestary, set amongst a charming little village, is a must see!
This monatery is an awesome place near Tübingen that worths a visit! The ticket entrance is cheap and there are some good coffeehouses and restaurants at Bebenhausen also. Great place!
