Our family of 4 took an hour long ride ($40/person) and had a great time. The horses were friendly and easy to handle. Our guide, Abby, was a sweetie and all the other people who worked there were equally as nice. The horses were clean and seemed well cared for. The office and the exterior may seem like you stepped back in time by a few decades but it doesn't deter from your experience. This was the first time riding a horse for our kids (12 & 16) and they are already talking about going again.
My Granddaughter and I went 2 days in a row because we loved it so much. She's 8 years old and had never ridden a horse before. The staff and owner were kind, caring and excellent people. My Granddaughter rode the horse called..."butterscotch"..he was awesome! I highly recommend him!
We went on a trail ride with the family (5ppl/50$hr each, plus we tipped the guide $25 because she was so nice) the guide was super friendly as were the rest of the girls who worked there. The horses were all fat and well groomed and easy to handle(I'm a beginner, but had no trouble) would definitely recommend and will go again!!!
We were a group of 13 that wanted to go on a horseback trail ride. Some of us were experienced & the rest had never been on a horse & there were kids from 6 upto adults. I called & spoke to one of the girls to arrange this & she was SO helpful & friendly! When we got there, the girl I spoke to on the phone was once again great as well as the man who I assume was the owner. My 9 yr old son was so nervous but before you knew it, he was asking to trott some more. The horses are obviously well cared for & they are very well behaved. It was a great day! My kids are begging to go again!
The place was very dirty, there was a very long wait, did not get moneys worth, very short ride for 35 dollars, No walkway from mineral hotel
Went on a trail ride here with a friend and had a great time . friendly people and nice horses . the guide was happy to talk about the horses and the area of vernon , gave some great tips on other fun things to do in the area and places to eat . The horses seemed healthy and content all in all a nice experience ... we will likely go back in the fall to see the leaves changing via horseback .
I'm a returning customer, I try going once a week with new people each time. I have to say I've been on many trail rides and this is the only one around here that offers a more experienced ride. Many places around here don't offer a walk/trot. Besides that, the horses are well behaved and love when you want to trot with them, the owner and his staff are amazing and make you feel very comfortable. Highly recommend this place.
I went with my 15 year old daughter to Legends Riding Stable this month. It was hands down the best trail riding I have done and we have been on numerous trail rides before. The horses were all healthy and very friendly. The workers were just as friendly. Our trail guide Kate was so much fun! She talked to us and was a joy to ride with! I would highly recommend Legends Riding Stable for anyone who wants a fun and beautiful trail experience.
Although the horses were well cared for I couldn't help but feel that the guides didn't want to be there. The ride was shorter than it was supposed to be. The terrain was ok, but I have been to better stables in the Poconos.
$40/pp, had not been on a horse for 30 years, first time for our boys, aged 15 & 11, very nice hour-long trail ride, beautiful scenery.
