saw the much respected Martin Harley here last night - lovely space, intimate venue which attracts some good artists - would definitely return

Went to see Sandy Kelly as Pasty Cline with George Hamilton V. The theatre is nice and small so you get a good view of the stage, felt it is wrong that all the seats are the same price. Normally the best view is in the front stalls and you pay more so felt it unfair to pay the same price for a side seat. The show was quite good, a bit slow first half but then it picked up. In order to park close you have to arrive early otherwise you have a bit of a walk, not nice in bad weather.

This theatre is modern and fabulous with plenty of parking situated just outside Milton Keynes - lovely atmosphere inside too.

An evening with Ian Mcculloch,lead singer of Echo and the bunnymen. The concert was in the Jim Marshall auditorium an excellent size venue for an intermit solo gig. I sat in one of the right hand balcony seats which was still pretty close to the stage. It gave an excellent view of the stage and hall. Excellently staffed venue, highly recommended!

Amazing musicians, this group certainly honoured Bob Marley, he looked the part, delivered his music professionally and brilliantly. The group also included 2 female singers who were front stage and danced their way through all the songs; very pleasant to watch. We heard all his well known songs along with not so well ones, a very good all round show. The theatre was full to packed and here is where The Stables could and should have done a better job. As there was not one spare seat, and "Bob" encouraged every one on their feet from the outset (and dancing which we all did), it soon became extremely hot and stuffy. By the half time interval it was soooo warm, no air and people were getting outside to oil down. Back in for the second half, and it really was uncomfortable hot. We left just before the end and sat outside.... I spoke to a steward and explained the situation, he agreed that the temperature was too much, they have no air conditioning and no windows to open either. SO if you go for a possible dance participating event, dress cooly, take a fan and plenty of water....The Stables..... when are you going to provide safe, ventilated and comfortable temperatures for your customers to enjoy the amazing artists that perform here. ???

What can I say? Easy to get to, great value, lovely intimate auditorium. Been a couple of times now and am very impressed. Already planning my next visit, though it is 50 miles away.

We love going to The Stables. They get class acts, the atmosphere is great and the auditorium is small enough to ensure everyone feels very close to the action. The only minor complaint is that there are nowhere near enough places to sit in the reception/bar area before you go in, so unless you arrive ridiculously early you have to stand for ages. Thoroughly recommended nonetheless and we are back there again in four weeks time to see the magnificent Mostly Autumn (for the 4th time).

We were fortunate enough to get tickets to see Richard Digance on the 8th of this month. When we arrived found the building very well lit the pathway into the lobby has signed bricks from acts that have appeared there which we thought was really nice.Headed to the bar where the delightful lady behind the bar guessed what I would like to drink which was a pint of Doombar ale served a little cold for my liking and at £4 a pint bit much but considering the venue felt that a fair price.Once inside the auditorium showed to our seats by a nice lady, got comfortable and waited for the show.All in all for a first time visit wasnt put off by anything would go back when we find an act that we both want to see good job The Stables.

Saw Des on Sunday 25th November at The Stables. Only stayed for the first half. He sat on a chair for an hour and read out emails as entertainment. He sang 2 songs that lasted about 2 minutes. then went for a break after an hour. At times he was difficult to understand as he mumbled a lot. I know he is getting older but was really disappointed and couldn't bear to sit through another hour of that. .. Sorry Des

Re Des.I wonder if Lynne M was at the same show which I attended, perhaps after reading Lynne M's Review, can I suggest she enquires about a hearing aid. Des was simply superb. It's a shame she did not stay for the rest of the show as she missed something special. He truly is a great entertainer, as proved again on Sunday 25th January 2015 when we saw him again at The Stables where he closed to a well deserved standing ovation.
