It's dominated by the Arena, but the best way of enjoying it is, I think, sitting outside a bar with a view of the Gran Guardia and watching the world go by.
If you want to see up close the famous Verona arena as you must to at Piazza Bra, a huge square, surrounded almost entirely by restaurants and pubs where at any time of day thousands of tourists and not just flock around here. The place this city's most important, and it is from here that begins the path to visit the city, since it is located right at the entrance of the historic center. Impossible to miss it and definitely one of the top attractions of Verona.
Beautiful square with a typical Italian feel. This is the best place to start your visit in Verona. It offers you quick access to all of the cities interest points.
A great place to watch verona past by good place just to sit and unwind with a glass of prosecco and people watch
We visited in the first weekend of February - carnival preparations had just started with parades of different companies giving life to the square! It was buzzing with people walking around. It is a spectacularly beautiful piazza with lovely restaurants along the side and a great sense of space! The majestic Arena rises above you as you walk through the square...take your time to stroll around.
The architecture, the colors, the atmosphere, the restaurants, the gelatos..... everything is magic there! Romantic! Lovely place, lovely city!
Lots of activities happen in this piazza - bicycle riding, sitting on the park benches, photo taking because it borders the Arena. Lots of families with children and lots of dogd!!
We would visit the every day but we only had enough time to visit a few days but it is a must to see the Piazza Bra
This is the main strip. See and be seen. Take in the families walking about. Lots of places to eat or have a drink.
Piazza bra is an incredible area of verona. Located near by is one of the bigger grocery stores of the area called PAM. Great little restaurants and gelato especially. While you're there make sure to go to the tourist office (at the beginning of your stay) and invest in a verona bike pass! recently spent about a month in the area and the verona bikes were the most affordable and convenient means of transportation - one of the bike kiosks is located right in this piazza! If you like shopping and high-end fashion, there are tons of stores there too. Definitely a walking or biking location to get the best of your visit! See more!
