Breathtaking and absolutely lovely sights helped by the weather we walked & walked through this lovely City. From the Cathedral to the Water Mill we enjoyed the lot
A great place to visit, and marvel at the wonderful architecture. We lit candles in memory of parents who have left us.
Awesome to stand in such a huge ancient nave, knowing the first church was established here in 650!Our US guests were equally impressed ......
Some brilliant history. We were wowed by the scale of everything inside, the views up into the roof were amazing.
You must visit the Cathedral if you're in Winchester. What an amazing building, lots of interesting architectural features which the guides explain as you wander around. The best bit was the Anthony Gormley sculpture in the Crypt. Wow.
the cathedral are very commercial and charge £7.50 for an adult to visit. It is very interesting but may come as a surprise to some visitors.
Brilliant reason to visit Winchester and see this outstanding cathedral, highlight of the city definitely.
We went on a rainy Sunday afternoon and listened to the even song service which was beautifuylly sung by the choir. The Cathedral is easy to find in the City Centre, the stained glass windows are particularly beautiful, well worth a visit
Staying near Winchester, we had to come and see the cathedral, couldn't have missed such an important historical monument. But the entrance fee was a bit of a shock, as there were 4 of us! The architecture and everything was absolutely brilliant, and the guides were very helpful.
we had a very interesting tour round the cathedral and learned a lot about it and the local characters
