It was very fun, surpisngly very clean, all the workers were friendly and lines not bad. We didn't wait more than 10 minutes for anything and all the rides were very fun. I was very surpised with this park and can't wait to go back.
I love to go to the Rapids. I wish we could go more often. It's a little pricey. But the season pass is worth it if you your kids go often over the summer
Our family looks forward to Rapids every time we visit West Palm Beach! Easy to locate, easy to get around and a perfect snack shack for lunch. Some water parks feel overwhelming when you have little ones, but Rapids isn't one of them :)
We visited on Saturday October 18th. My family and I rented a cabana for the day, since multiple reviews mentioned the lack of shaded areas. The cabana was nice, it had curtains, a flat screen TV, Ceiling fan, cushioned couch and two cushioned chairs, coffee table, plus a bucket of ice and six bottled waters. We bought our entrance tickets using the McDonalds' buy one get one special, which is available until November 2nd. You can buy your tickets online and save some money. For the size of the park and the number of rides, we thought it was a bit over priced, so we definitely would not have visited without the ticket offer. Plus it was a 90 minute drive from our home in South Miami. We enjoyed all of the rides and slides we did, as well as the lazy river and flowrider. We had a lot of fun. We were there from the time it openned at 10:00 AM until the time they closed at 5:00 PM.Some areas of the park are in need of some TLC, such as the steps to many of the rides, lots of rust spots everywhere. A little bit of maintenance and some paint should take care of that. The food prices at the concessions are also a bit over priced, but the food items we purchased we good. We decided not to bring a cooler, since we did not want to take the chance of "leaving it in the picnic area" right outside the main entrance, as the park website recommends, since outside food and drinks are not allowed inside. I have lived in South Florida long enough to know that it is not a good idea to leave anything of value or even if it looks valuable unattended in a public place. The park is located next to an RV/Vacation rental community on one side and some warehouses on the other side. Just pay the regular price for parking, check website for price, do not be fooled by higher prices from next door warehouses, as soon as you turn the corner. We will come back, only if they have the buy one get one ticket offers again. We do not believe it is worth paying the full price of admission. However, I am rating our visit very good, because of the experience we had for the price we paid. We really had a very good time.
Loved the slides, they were huge and loads of excitement, so many activities, so many slides, each one bigger than the one before, 'Black Thunder was my Favourite, We did almost every slide that was there. Wow, the Surf wave rapid was thrilling, The prices was very good for all those slides, plus we bought tickets during the labour day week, so we got free tickets to keep coming back till Nov 2, what a deal. We had a blast one of the highlight of our trip.
This is not in the best neighborhood in Palm Beach County. Entrance is confusing. Parking is confusing. Once you're inside; you can almost forget the location and somewhat enjoy yourself. DO NOT leave any valuables in your vehicle.
Rapids water park is a nice little local water park. It has some good rides and we enjoyed the lazy river and wavepool which are good for all age groups. All in all a days fun for the family. They have nice spots and benches everywhere where you can have food. The general parking was convenient enough and just costs 10 dollars. The lockers are also cheap and you can open and close them whenever you want throughout the day. They collect a 5$ deposit which is refundable. The staff were all friendly. There are no nice separate changing rooms and bathrooms were not that great. This was the only problem we faced. Otherwise it is a nice place for outing for entire family to relax.
Great place for the family, kids love the place. I think the prices are a little high, so look for coupon deals.
it was a good experience first time and year later we went it was a horrible experience , prices gone up , service is horrible , they treat u like crap if u bring ur own soda or food, iam diabetic and cant eat regular food , so i bought my special prepared food , they made me throw my food . parking is horrible and very expensive . we decided not to visit them again , even thou we want to help LOCAL parks and businesses but this one not worth help or supporting .
Rapids is great. Of the non-chain water parks i have been to, this is in top 3.We love coming for the afternoon special. Less people and the cost is right. Especially after school days. You need to pay admission even if you don't participate. So if you have older children, you can let them go in and sit on the park benches just outside the entrance to the right. You can have your kids check in with you through the chain link fence. You will see many parents hanging out there. South Florida is know for its rapidly developing storms. If there is lighting in the area they need to shut down for a period of time. So plan for a meeting place because it can get crazy with everyone leaving at once. They have plenty of life guards, so I feel secure when my 10 year old and his friends go off on their own. They have some insane rides, but it is a nice variety from kiddie to very adult. They have a very neat toddler area. They have lockers for a reasonable fee. They have a snack bar. Just be careful about the bathrooms. They don't have many so you need to plan.
