We went to Ten Bay beach in July and it is a very picturesque area. This would be a perfect beach for a family with young children because it so shallow and warm with no waves. It wasn't our favorite because we preferred some waves and the water was almost too warm for a hot day. We also saw a lot of jelly fish the day we were there, which wasn't a plus. There are lots of trees for shade and it's fairly easy to access the beach as well. It was nice, but not a favorite of ours on the island.
Sweet spot, soft sand, quiet even when busy with 20 people.Smooth sand bottom, many sand dollars, swim out aways to find big white ones on the bottom...
Unlike most beaches, there are other people around... Most beaches we at there was NO one. I liked this because there was a little snorkeling. Could get in and out easy to do so. Calm usually. Husband could still walk the beach. Very beautiful. Just like photos.
We want it all to ourselves! LOL! Ten Bay is one of the most beautiful and relaxing beaches on the island. We've been to Eleuthera four times and still find this to be our favorite beach. You'll find sand dollars and star fish especially late in the day. We were fortunate to stay at a home on this beach twice. Great snorkeling and kayaking! Occasional nurse shark spotted - harmless.
This is a narrow beach along a wide cove, easilt accessible from the highway. With a breeze blowing, it is a great place for walking, swimming and picnics. Without the breeze, the notorious Eleuthera no-see-ums can eat you alive.
Clear and shallow water, soft sand, perfect for young children! Also great shade in the morning. We loved gathering sand dollars, seeing starfish and enjoying the beautiful beach as a family.
This is a must see!! We packed our snorkeling equipment & lunch and spent the day here! We found sand dollars, star fish, beautiful shells and even saw a small octopus!!! So private and breathtaking !!! I hope we will be able to return to this wonderful place!!! Did not want to leave!!!! Susan W., North Carolina
We stayed right at this beach, the views are great. The water always clear and calm and seems to go on forever under your knee. From our balcony we can see tons of baby fish, guarded by a school of trumpet fish (8 or so), tons of sea stars, stingrays plus the occasional barracuda and other bigger fish.
Amazing shallow water forever, with sandbars. Out far you can snorkel and find sand dollars and such.
We visited this beach twice during our stay on Eleuthera. It is covered with palm trees and pine trees for shade. The water is tranquil and warmer than on the Atlantic side. It is quite shallow for a good way. There is some snorkeling along the cliffs and some rocks along the beach. We did see sting ray and sand dollars. This is a great beach for lap/distance swimming which we came to this beach for- estimating 3/4 mile from side to side. Very peaceful but bring bug spray. rating 8/10 on our Eleuthera beach scale :))
