wonderful trail, well laid out and easy to navigate, follows the shoreline for some spectacular views-great photo ops! We take the walk every time we're on the west coast
Spectacular scenery, Watching the surfing. Unique shops. Terrace Beach resort was fantastic. The trails in the area were incredible.
Our favourite hike in the Ucluelet/Tofino area. Crashing waves and gorgeous little inlets and coves. Can't wait to get back.
We loved the hike but we brought our bicycles from vancouver and couldn't find a trail to use them on. Bikes aren't allowed on the trail which is very unfortunate. I'm assuming it's because of limited visibility around corners. We would do the hike again next time
I love walking this trail and have been fortunate to walk it many times. The best part, besides being free, is the constant new viewpoints when you round a corner. Take a drink, a bite to eat and a book. Sit on a bench or the rocks and relax. It doesn't get any better than this.
Our annual trip to the West Coast of Vancouver Island now seems incomplete if we have not had time on this trail. With many truly lovely vantage points and a continuing sense of the ocean's presence throughout its length, this trail gives those who enjoy the broad expanse of near by Pacific Rim park beaches an opportunity to experience the sea's more volatile voice and fiercer face.We understand this to be a trail built by local initiative. Hats off to those who did; they've created an accessible, exceptional experience for all.
Spectacular views along the trail which we visited on a stormy February day. Take a good camera to capture the enormous power of waves crashing on the rocks and headlands.Trail is easy to walk.
Stunning scenery, beautiful walk. Suitable for all ages & fitness levels. Well worth a visit any time of year
Ucluelet's Wild Pacific Trail is a must do every time you're in the area. The walkable trail is suitable for all walkers; beautiful scenery along the ocean stuns the eye from many viewpoints and benches. The lighthouse and rainforest surroundings enhance the entire experience and provide an interesting mix of sights, including gnarled trees and moss 'creatures' perching on branches. We never tire of this walk, recently in sunshine but sometimes in mystic fog. Go!
We make a point of walking the Wild Pacific Trail every time we are on the West coast. The topography at Ucluelet is totally different from Tofino, much more rugged, with no sand anywhere. This makes the walk an interesting comparison to the low lying, sandy, beaches at the Tofino end. On rough days, the surf breaking on the rocks can be spectacular! The trail is in excellent shape & each time we go we find new additions from the past visit. Highly recommended!
