Every European city has an old part, a new part and a castle. The old city in Barcelona is very charismatic. The smells, sights, sounds and atmosphere are compelling - it's very easy to lose an hour just wondering aimlessly around the narrow winding lanes.
it's a great place, full of history and interesting things to do, it's like having a lot to view and enjoy in one place, but careful with the pick pockets
It was good to visit the Jewsih quarters and understand the history behind it all - the little shops in the alleys are stunning and the people are so amazing.
I was told that at 7th Paseo of Colon (Colombus) lived Picasso for years with his parents as he has a small studio at La Plata Street which is near by. Guides don't say about it.
Definately must take a walk over here, go also inside of the Barcelona Cathedral witch is in the middle, amazing really
The old areas of Barcelona are worth exploring for the ancient architecture, interesting bars and restaurants, and especially the creative and interesting shops.
老城区,估计每个有历史美丽的城市都是以它的老城区最著名,这里也是,好喜欢这里的街道,哥特式建筑的完美体现!有着古老的味道
When I visit Barcelona, finally I got some spare time, then I decided to stroll around the old city area. Lots of small restaurants, numorous shops, churches etc, etc, good for time passing. Beautiful buildings, some museums, worth for wandering around if you seen all other major attractions around Barcelona!
The Ciutat Vella (Old City) is a lovely, beautiful and amazing part of this incredible city. As the name implies, this is the old (original) city of Barcelona. The architecture is exquisite, the streets & alleyways are narrow & cobblestoned, there are small restaurants, coffeeshops, cafes, bars and little plazas everywhere. Lose yourself and walk around for hours. Enjoy!
take your time to stroll around. Since Barcelona is a nice city , the possible opening hours of the shops should be extened to Sunday.
