Of you are a fun of archeology or even if you are just a curious person this is a must see in Turin !Well located and properly maintained the Egyptian Museum allow you to have a good experience back in the past !
This musem contains the largest collection of phoaro's civilisation out side of Egypt , it is under a full renovation process so about half of the musem is open to the public .
Supposedly this museum is incredible, but there is a lot of renovation going on at the moment and there are really only 2-3 big rooms available to look through. The things on-display are cool, but you can only see a handful of them before everything becomes indistinguishable. If you're torn between this and, say, the Cinema Museum, go to the Cinema Museum instead.
One of the best collections of Egyptian artifacts that I have seen to date! And only 5Euros!! The museum is undergoing a renovation. Should be complete April 2015 - I imagine it will be spectacular!
The museum is being renovated. Only the ground floor with the statues is open. They make a magnificent sight in the subdued lighting and walls with mirrors. I just wish that we had come here before the other exhibits were closed.
I was all shocked by just walking in this museum. If you are fan of archeology, this might be top 50 museum you should go. The museum is just breathtaking, and I guess it should be advertised more!
it was as if we were in Egypt. Mummies and monuments and small Egyptian figures and all documented. These were all brought from Egypt years ago, and kept in very good state.
Unfortunately this amazing museum is undergoing renovations, but they had many of their key exhibits still on display in a building across the street when I went in September 2014. A stunning collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, from statues to scrolls to grave goods to mummies. Get the audio guide; it's worth it here. Anyone with a passing interest in ancient Egypt should love this museum, but best to wait until the renovations are complete.
This museum was under renovation when we were there. But they adjusted the tarrifs accordingly. But if the was a tape of what was to come wow. We would definitely go back.
