If you like to walk, bike, rollerblade...this is the place in Jackson County. It's a wonderful 10 mile trail with lots of beautiful scenery. Lakes are near the end of the trail near Concord.
Beautiful 10 mile trail between Jackson and Concord. Pavement in good condition, nice and wide (easily ride 4 up). Lots of nice scenery. wetlands, streams, lakes, lots of trees, sections are in tunnel of trees. a number of benches and picnic tables along the way.
Great place to bike or run. There are restaurants in Concord at the trail head. If you want to have lunch before you go back to Jackson
If you enjoy biking long distances, it is great. You can start off right in Jackson's ghetto and end up in nowhere (aka Concord). But, really? An "attraction?" It's a 6ft wide paved trail that simply keeps those annoying bicyclists who think the roads paved for automobiles should be for them as well. So for that reason alone, it earns three stars.
I am just SO thankful to have such a BEAUTIFUL and wonderfully family friendly place to walk and bike and explore and meet new people and bump into friends. The trails are not perfect in everyone's eyes, but they are WONDERFUL to have and more than we have EVER thought of having in our area before. You have restroom access, you have emergency road access, you have tremendous teams caring for the trails, etc. THANK YOU for making wonderful reachable places to get healthier.
We live within one block of this trail, therefore have first-hand experience with it daily. It is safe, clean, well maintained, and beautiful. There are bikers, walkers, runners, and very family oriented. One fun activity that we did to enjoy the trail was to pack up the grand kids ages 3 - 8 years, with bikes in tow and a wagon. We all met at the trail with a wagon, lunch, and book about various birds. We took a nature walk looking for different flowers, plants, animals (deer, bunnies, woodchuck, etc,) and birds. Take lots of water! The kids really enjoyed the nature experience.
Wonderful for a long or short bike ride. Trail takes you between two sides of Lime Lake. Beautiful in the fall!
I have been on this trail to walk and ride bike, nice scenery. benches to rest at. wildlife abundant. nice flat paved walkway.
You can access the trail from weatherwax RD in Jackson, the Lime Lake park in Spring Arbor Area, Concord Mill pond in concord, They have maps you can download on the website which is www.fallingwatertrail.org I enjoy the part where lime lake is on both sides of the trail!
Very nice trail for walking, running, or biking. The path is asphalt, and has nice pit stops along it to rest.
