The Acme Screening Room is housed in the historic Acme building in the downtown. The small theater, which supporters are looking to improve, plays independent movies and series, designed for the intellectual crowd. They always have something of interest, whether its an economic justice forum or Oscar nominated shorts. There are refreshments available. The theater operates Friday through Sunday and tickets are $6, making it an inexpensive outing. While the selections are not for everyone, it pays to see what's playing.
