I had never been to a human maze, so in our recent trip to town, my husband and I had to try it out. We strolled through casually rather than trying to get a good time, and it took us about 15 minutes. The woman behind the counter, though, is very friendly and we decided to try the panning for jewels too, which was quite fun. Both activities would be great for families with children, but also enjoyable for adults. The prices are reasonable, and we were very happy we took the time to stop in.
The grandboys had a fun-filled afternoon at the maze, the go-carts, & putt-putt golf. It was entertaining & engaging. Great way to spend a few hours in Ruidoso, NM!
The maze is part of a larger entertainment place that includes mini golf and go-karts. The mini golf was pretty challenging; much harder than most mini-golf places I've played. My son enjoyed the maze itself, and the lady who takes the tickets at the maze is super friendly and helpful.
My fiance and I along with my son and daughter had a girls vs boys competition to see who could go through the maze the fastest. Well of course the boys won by CHEATING haha (so my daughter and I say) but this is a neat little place to kill time loved it :)
We truly enjoy the go-karts with our older grandchildren. Not sure I would take younger children there. They go quite fast. They do have some limited food and snacks as well. We have been there with ice and snow on the ground - such fun. We will definitely go back. They have some other attractions there but we have not participated in them.
We took our older kids here while on vacation in Ruidoso 14 years ago. They ranged in age from 8-18 (and an infant) and there was something for everyone. I was glad to find they were still open when we went back this time with our 14 and 25 year old daughters. They have a putt-putt, 3 levels of go karts(turtle, intermediate, & advanced for age 16+), bumper cars, water bumper cars, panning for gold, a game room and a human maze. Note** if you are going, do the water bumper cars last, and bring towels/change of clothes-you will get wet! Because it had been pouring rain when we got into town, they were closed. We went back after lunch and they were open and getting busy. Most tickets are $6 each and require one ticket per person, it's cheaper if you buy the block of tickets at a discounted price, however, they don't do refunds in the event of rain and we were afraid it would start raining again so we bought individuals. This time around we did the intermediate go karts and our 14 year old got the courage to drive one the second go round. We did the human maze which was a lot of fun and not as easy as it looks(they have an observation deck above for parents or those that don't want to participate). The maze is just like the one in the Ft. Worth Stockyards. And of course we had to do the water bumper cars again. There aren't a lot of things for kids to do in Ruidoso so this is a great place for all ages to have a variety of fun things to do. We stopped here on our way through town and spent 2-3 hours, everyone enjoyed it!
fun good price good people fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun I can say it a hundred times or enought to meet the fiffty characters
Even though we arrived near their closing time they were good enough to stay open. The maze gives you a good challenge and you could spend a good 20 or more minutes before you find your way out. We had a great time.
Really thought this would be simple and stupid. But the maze kept us busy and running in circles for quite some time. Our niece took about 10 minutes to get through, while we thought we might need a search and rescue team. We were laughing like crazy by the time we made it out. Great family, kid or adult fun
Almost every night of our 10 day visit to Ruidoso we went to ride the go-karts, play mini golf, ride the bumper boats. It was easy, clean, not crowded or long lines. When it rained they were out as soon as it stopped with blowers on the go-kart course.
