Attending the Funny Side Up program at The Amish Country Theater was the icing on the cake to a fun day in amish country. Grandpa has been to this theater several times and thought the grandkids would enjoy it. Three generations (grandkids, kids, grandparents) had a hard time wiping the smiles off of our faces and tears out of our eyes from laughing so hard! The comedy was clean and honestly funny. The ventriloquism got a little old, but the finale using audience members was hysterical. The local musical act was really talented as well. Ticket prices were very reasonable too.
Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the show. Very entertaining. One suggestion, arrive early as this is open seating and not reserved seating. Lynyrd - YOU ROCK!!
Great way to spend the night in after hours Amish country. They jump from music to comedy with ease. Very original, very funny, very Entertaining! Excellent comedy skits,a good band,a skilled ventriloquist,it all adds up to a wonderful evening. If your looking for something different in Amish country at a reasonable price, this is it. Highly recommended!
Afternoon of down-home, clean, family fun with an Amish spin.Wonderful for children! The Christmas program was filled with humor, talent, and variety with lots of snacks for eating. Great atmosphere sitting in a barn-like theatre.
This is hands down, my favorite thing to do in Amish Country. I LOVE the Beachy Boys (two Amish guys who are hilarious!). Lynyrd's comedy makes me laugh every time. The music is great, too. My favorite thing, though is probably the show's unexpected and crazy ending (complete with audience members on stage). It's an absolute riot. Add this show to your must-do list the next time you're in Holmes County. You'll be glad you did.
We and 2 friends were privileged to visit and enjoy the Christmas show Saturday afternoon, Dec.13th this past weekend. What a wonderful time we had... A top class act for sure. ALL the acts were wonderful!! We will definitely be back in 2015!! Would recommend highly!! 5 stars from us. Dale and Cathy Coe
I expected something along the lines of "Hee Haw" but this was an immensely entertaining, interactive variety show with talented performers. I would recommend it highly. It was among the high points of our weekend. The theater is a large, high-ceilinged barn-type structure in an out-of-the-way location.
Good clean fun. This is our second year visiting the Amish Country Theater and they do a very good job. The ventriloquist does an excellent job, as does the main character and the band. I would recommend attending a show.
We drove in from canton our friend's got us tickets it was the funniest show we've seen in many years we never stopped laughing once the band they have is just fabulous if you're in walnut Creek you must go
What a fun way to spend an evening in a community that rolls up the street at 5:00. The show was a Hee Haw type and started out a little slow but then had you laughing until your sides ached. The ventriloquist was amazing, comedy sometimes hokey which made it even funnier, band (father and 2 sons) was fabulous, audience participation was great. There are 2 different shows. We enjoyed the Thurs. night show so much that we went back for the Friday evening show. Each night had something different than the other. Enjoyed the band on Thurs. the most. A great time. Would definitely go again.
