Had a great time over the Winter holidays with my 2 nieces who were probably the oldest in the park (12 & 16), but appeared to be enjoying themselves the most!!
Large park, great for dog walking or enjoying a nice stroll. Has play area for the kids, very large paddling pool area for the kids, ice cream van, refreshments hut for lollies teas/coffees, picnic area. Lovely canal walks, river for the kids to paddle in the summer. Up the top part of the park is Cafe Cha Cha where you can sit in and have a sandwich and there is also another children's play area. Great way to spend a sunny day and keep the kids amused.
Great for crunching through leaves in autumn, even better in summer. Lots of lovely days spent here.
Beautiful open space and woodland combine to give a lovely area for walking. Train for the kids is great and you can also enjoy the river, canal and lock.Car parking available and a snack hut is near the paddling pool and railway.
I am not a parkie person so i hate this park yes it busy in the summer months but 9 months of the yearIts dead. Better off building homes on it.
Take my grandson t this park every weekend loads of space for him t ride his bike the paddling pools r nice but need a upgrade which I believe is in the pipe lines an the safety sponge floor in the swings play area is very good
It's n amazing park. Lots of green space and small river or call it stream of water flowing through it with an amazing pool for kids. avoid rush hours in summer as park gets busy and very hard to get parking. I am planning to go again with my family this year in summer. Great place to do a picnic.
Cassiobury Park in the heart of Watford is an excellent place for a family outing. There are acres of parkland for free sports, football, cricket, dog walking, cycling. The canal and the river run through the park with great bankside walking/cycling. There is an excellent playground for the younger children, a refreshment kiosk, a series of paddling pools, tennis courts & bowling green (charges apply) and a first class café serving great food. (But not that great a place to be on a cold wet rainy day).
Great place for kids any time of year with lots of room and a large play area. Good for cyclists with their own cycle lane dog walkers would love it here too. Even better in the summer with large paddling pools and even the kids train was running yesterday and plenty of people about even on a cold February day.
I absolutely love coming to "cassiobury", more so in the winter when its quieter as it gets ridiculously busy in the summer months when it seems hundreds of people desend on Watford just to spend the day at the park, still if you arrive after 6pm it's a little more bearable. There are plenty of walks and beautiful open spaces, a mini train, kids pools, small cafe, toilets, paddling pond, canal walks where you can watch traditional canal boats negotiate the locks and there are lots of little Knooks and crannies to explore. The only downside are the very limited parking (don't even bother during school holidays and the summer, park up elsewhere and walk in) and the crazy cyclists hurtling down the town paths.
